The street fair offers Sydneysiders the opportunity to soak up
the carnival atmosphere and enjoy a day full of song, dance, food and
music... Greek style!
The
flagship event of the 21st Greek Festival of Sydney is the Brighton-Le-Sands
Street Fair. Taking place by the historic shores of Botany Bay and with
over 50 stalls and in excess of 100,000 visitors, the Street Fair is one
of Sydney's largest community events. Enjoy a fun day full of non-stop
entertainment including live Greek music, dancing, street performers,
arts, crafts and fabulous Greek food! The Official Opening Ceremony at
3pm will be attended by many of Sydney's and Australia's leading politicians
and personalities, to ensure the 21st Greek Festival of Sydney gets off
to a prestigious start.
There will also be a few special surprises in store so come along, bring
the family, run into long lost friends, make new acquaintances and help
our 21st birthday celebrations go off with a BANG! The Street Fair is
a unique Greek experience not to be missed.
This
year's special guests include Ta Paidia Tis Patras (The Patra Boys), an
8-piece ensemble from Patra in Greece who specialise in lively up tempo
party music and are sure to enthrall and entertain everyone who attends.
