Sydney University opens its doors to commend Sydney's best Greek language students in the presence of family, friends and distinguished guests.

NSW HSC students achieving the highest marks in Modern and Classical Greek are honoured and encouraged to continue to strive for excellence in Greek language studies.

Solomos was a Modern Greek Poet whose body of work includes "Hymn to Freedom" which became the Greek National Anthem.
