National Independence Day Parade


25th March is a day of Celebration commemorating Greece's historic struggle for national independence in the 1800's. There will be a procession led by students of the Greek Orthodox Community Afternoon & Saturday Schools and culminating in a wreath laying ceremony, poetry readings and traditional dancing.  



Parade commences 10am from Pyrmont Bridge (south side) and ends at Tumbalong Park.

A fun day full of non-stop entertainment featuring live music and entertainment from some of Sydney's finest Greek-Australian musicians. Australia's best Greek dancing displays and workshops will be complimented by some of the most sumptuous Greek food in the Southern Hemisphere! There will also be street performers, arts and crafts stalls, sports activities and the chance to win prizes in some hilarious competitions. Special guest will be Basile and the night will be brought to a pumping crescendo by the one and only DJ Krazy Kon!

Mosaic Madness @ Palm Grove

Children and adults alike will be able to help create a piece of history as they large pebble mosaic which will be donated to the Greek Community Home for The Aged.
