Café Carnivale – Melismos

Fotis Aggoules 1911 - 1964
“Behind the Barricades and the Barbed Wires”

A freedom fighter from Chios, Aggoules is one of the most representative cases of a creator who lived and wrote during the harsh period between the two world wars.

Nikos Kazantzakis, author of Zorba the Greek and The Last Temptation of Christ, had a personal knowledge of Islam.
