It’s only 9 days to go until the festivities begin and the excitement is rearing up………

TUMBALONG PARK is the highlight, Zik Zak and Klonaridis LIVE at 6PM, get yourself there early


The rest of the day is no different, live dancing, food, performance, and a major highlight of the festival in the Urban Stream, a Fashion Parade featuring works from Greece’s finest fashion designers. The urban stream will come alive with catwalk beauties and rare Greek jewelry stalls, craft, art and fashion stalls for those who want to catch a bit of shopping while enjoying the Greek craziness that the day delivers.


GREEK FEST FAVOURITES



Maria Sarri and the Patra Dance Association

Maria comes all the way from Chios Greece, with her inspiring collection of paintings that are only available to view for 1 week at KUDOS GALLERY Paddington.

As if that is not enough, the Patra Dance association visit us for 1 NIGHT ONLY at Sydney Town Hall on the 6th of April, with a troupe of 25, they will be delivering a multifaceted performance with live band and colourful traditional costumes from all over Greece.

Greek and Cuban Cross Cultural Night @ the GOC Lakemba


South American swing and Greek celebration unite on this night that is sure to be a fiery fusion of culture and passion. Mezedes, dancing, wine and Latino limbo.

Maria Sarri – GREECE, Past and Present

a retrospective exhibition in three parts: 1. Pieces illustrating ancient Greek spirit, 2. Scenery and parts of Greece that are disappearing, 3. Portraits of famous Greeks who made their mark on Greek culture.
Opening night will feature an introduction by Maria herself in English and Greek, alongside Greek mezedes, treats and Greek wine.

Sex, Drugs and Music in Modern Greece

The Greek music scene is full of pleasant surprises and contradictions, together with serious attempts to modernize a very old tradition; Vrasidas Karalis talks naughty and nice as he uncovers some of the mystery around Greeks and their erotic mannerisms.

HOMER DAY

Homer will come to life, providing the audience an insight into the father of culture, and a tribute to the work of the first European poet, featuring performance, discussion and live music, this is the official launch of the annual celebration of HOMER.
