KALO PASKA! |

One and a half weeks out from the finale people. I will keep this short; I received some good feedback to my last question to all of you who receive the email newsletter and I have taken it on board. Short and Succinct it is! Quickly, the Shifting Ground launch was huge and the artwork very inspiring and cutting edge. Do yourselves a favour and get down there as it is only open for a few days and you do not want to miss these beautiful, thought provoking artworks. KUDOS GALLERY, 6 Napier Street Paddington, 11am – 6pm Tues – Friday and 11am – 4pm Saturday.
CHILDRENS EXHIBITION;
We all know this poster right? Well there is a story behind it…. Proudly hosted by Kudos Gallery and Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, this exhibition features the finalists of an art competition put together through Newtown School of performing arts. Visual Arts students in years 8 and 9 from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts were invited to create designs for the Greek Festival of Sydney's poster and program for 2006. The children were asked to create a design that signified their own Experience and impressions of this cultural event. One of the images created by these children was chosen as the feature image for the front cover of the Greek Festival of Sydney 2006 poster and front cover that we see here today. To celebrate their work and contribution KUDOS GALLERY will be exhibiting their works for one and all to see between Wednesday the 26th of April and Saturday the 29th of April. All the energy and love that went into creating these works reveal a truly egalitarian and unbiased youth perception that exists before racial opinions are set, these young individuals of all backgrounds reveal a beautiful and colourful world of racial freedom that the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW has pioneered. Tuesday is opening night so get along for a beautiful evening of Art, Tasty Mezedes and drinks!
EVENT; Song B12 "Beyond the rolling wave", A Theatre production, that again, involves a number of young backgrounds working together creatively.
This is a Vietnamese and Greek theatre initiative. Come and peer beyond the surface and see a sketch of the space where two young women search for their identity amongst multicultural poker machines, girl talk and ceremony.
DATE; Friday 28th of April and Saturday the 29th April
