Skin Deep
Christou
and Baldas are contemporary artists exploring identity and subdivisions
in culture. They are drawn to specify events, observations and/or, experiences,
brought together into a pinnacle in the exhibition 'SKIN DEEP'.
Both artists operate as instigators, taking the viewers on a journey and making them question their ideologies and perceptions, it's a reminder of the state of flux we live in past/present/future, and although this can sometimes feel uncomfortable it is often an avenue to new knowledge and growth.
Through photography and mixed media, Christou and Baldas will question ideologies, violence through discrimination, personal boundaries and our shadow nature.
