National Independence Day Parade
25th March is a day of celebration, commemorating Greece’s historic struggle for national independence in the 1800s. There will be a procession led by students of the Greek Orthodox Community Afternoon & Saturday Schools and culminating in a wreath-laying ceremony, poetry readings and traditional dancing. Parade commences
12 noon from Pyrmont Bridge (south side) and ends at Tumbalong Park.
Tumbalong Park
Two days of non-stop entertainment featuring live music from some of Sydney’s finest Greek-Australian musicians. Australia’s best Greek dancing displays and workshops, complimented by some of the most sumptuous Greek food in the Southern Hemisphere! There will also be street performers, arts and crafts stalls and the chance to win prizes in some hilarious competitions.
Mytilinian Municipal Orchestra
Continuing our exploration of Greek regions, we are delighted to present this group of musicians and dancers from the beautiful island of Mytilini.
Celebrating the 25th year since their foundation, they will be presenting a program of traditional and modern songs, melodies and dances.
The group will be performing on Saturday afternoon at 4pm.

Palm Grove
Watch or join in the very best Greek dancing displays in Australia as dance schools from around the country show off their skills and teach a few of their secrets to create an all day Greek Dancing Extravaganza!
Palm Grove will also showcase some young local musicians and singers.

Giorgios Lianos from Greece
Thanks to our generous sponsor Antenna Pacific, headlining this year is Greece’s very own Giorgios Lianos in a performance not to be missed. Performing live on Saturday and Sunday.

Greek Fest Darling Harbour
He is Australia’s Superstar Greek DJ/Producer. With over 55,000 sales in his own “Greece” CD series to date and constant interstate appearances promoting his national brand, he has become a household name all over the country.
This year, celebrating a ten-year relationship with the Greek Festival of Sydney, DJ Krazy Kon has achieved icon status with his accomplishments in DJ-ing, producing and promoting.

Paroula Thurban
Paroula Thurban and the Greek Community Dance School have been performing in Sydney for over 43 years.
Her dances will be showcased over the two days at Darling Harbour.
