A presentation by Dr Alfred Vincent

A celebration in music, readings and narrative for the centenary of one of Greece’s greatest poets. Ritsos’ vast output ranges from poems of solidarity against repression and wartime occupation to monologues by figures from ancient myth, and “snapshots” suggesting unseen dimensions behind everyday experience.

I hide behind simple things, for you to find me;
and if you don’t find me, you will find the objects.
You will touch those things my hand has touched,
the traces of our hands will be united.

Readers: Christine Kanellakis, Anastasia Anastasiadis.

Music by: “Out of the Blue”: Panagiotis Kalandranis, Petros Apostolidis, Georgia Giatis, Tom Papadimitriou, Dimitris Vouros.
