  A History of Greece

A presentation by author Dr Nicholas Doumanis

Nicholas Doumanis will discuss his new book A history of Greece, which presents the story of the land and its people as a continuity from prehistoric times to our own day. Its broad scope is unique among recent histories of Greece. Dr Doumanis is the author of the international prize-winning book Myth and memory in the Mediterranean, on the Italian occupation of the Dodecanese, and of Italy: Inventing the nation. He is currently working on a book about the Greeks in Anatolia and a history of the Eastern Mediterranean. He is Senior Lecturer in World History at the University of New South Wales.
